Delhi University (DU) MA Economics

The University of Delhi is a central university situated in Delhi, India and is funded by Government of India. Established in 1922, it offers courses at the undergraduate and post-graduate level. Vice-President of India Mohammad Hamid Ansari is the Chancellor of the university. It has been ranked 371 in the whole world in the year 2010 by the THES - QS world universities ranking. The university has two campuses, namely north campus and south campus in the northern and southern part of the city respectively. The north campus is well connected with the yellow line of the Delhi Metro. The station is called Vishwavidyalaya, which means "university" in Hindi and Sanskrit. North campus is about 2.5 km from Delhi Vidhan Sabha and 7.0 km from ISBT.


Eligibility
Candidates applying for MA in Economics must hold the passing certificate for 10+2 from a recognized board in the country having minimum 60% marks however; it may vary from one institution to another. Students must also complete the bachelor’s degree from any registered University in the country. Numerous institutions organizes entrance exam to give admissions to the students. Top rankers of these exams are given with the scholarships to their course.

Eligibility Criteria 
The candidate should be Graduate in whichever discipline with minimum 55%. The admission for course is firmly on the merit. The admission is based on the written test followed by the interview. For SC/ST candidates, the relaxation in marks is 5%. Candidates appearing in final year examination can also apply.

Entrance Test 
Entrance test has multiple-choice questions with short investigative questions. Candidates are anticipated to have expertise with existing economic problems of Indian Economy and information of statistical and mathematical tools.
