Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET)

Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test is conducted by Anna University for students to seek admission in MBA, MCA, M.Tech, M.Arch course in which is offered by Tamil Nadu University and also at Anna University, Anna University Trichy, Anna University Coimbatore and other university that is affiliated by TN university.  Apart from this university, there are also some private institutes and Self Financing Engineering College that admits students on the basis of the TANCET for the Quota seats. Students apart from TENCET have to fulfill the eligibility criteria for the admission.

Eligibility for the Course:

Student who wants to take up the MBA course through TANCET they should be passed out from graduation or pass diploma course 10+3 pattern. Students who want to seek admission in MCA should pass the degree course with mathematics as the compulsory subject in 12th std or in the degree level.  A student who is passed out 3 year diploma course with Math and stats subject can also apply for TANCET.

But the eligibility criteria may be different in various institutes in Tamil Nadu. So the students should have proper enquiry with the authority. However, students who are appearing for the final year exam can also apply for the TANCET test.

Application Procedure:

The application form for the TANCET can be obtained from selected branches of SBI and the co-coordinating centers. This application form can also be obtain from post office by sending DD of Rs 350/-.  The application form should be sent to secretary of TANCET Examination Center.

The TANCET center where the exam is going to be held is: Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy, Tirunelveli and Vellore
