Punjab University Common Entrance Test (PUCET)
Punjab University Common Entrance Test is conducted for students to seek admission in MBBS course at Govt Medical College, Chandigarh, B.D.S at Dr. Haravansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Science, LLB at University Institute at Legal Studies, B.Sc in Anthropology, Bio Chemistry, Bio Physics, Bio Technology, computer Science and other courses. Students who want to seek admission for above mentioned courses have to undergo PUCET exam.
Eligibility for the Course:
The 85% of seats in the course are being reserved for Punjab students. Students must have passed 10+2 exam or equivalent to it from any recognized university. Students have to submit the passing certificate to the university authority.
Students who are appearing for the final exam can also appear for the entrance test. The admission for such student is entirely considered on the basis of eligibility criteria or else the admission for the course will be cancelled. Students who have passed diploma from engineering category or any other diploma certificate course from Punjab State of Technical Educational.
Students who want to seek admission in Architecture Course should have passed 10+2 with not less than 50% marks with Mathematics and English compulsory. For Pharmacy course, students should have passed 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry. Admission for Govt University is governed by its own respective eligibility criteria.
Admission Procedure:
The admission for Punjab Technical University, in B.Architecture course is done on the basis of National Aptitude Test and marks is distributed in the 50:50 ratios. The candidate has to send the application form and fee through DD. The application forms can be taken from affiliated college of PTU/DTE and also in some of the selected branches like Punjab National Bank and IDBI. This forms can also taken from post office.
