Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET)

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is conducted to get admission for the undergraduate programme in the symbiosis institute. However, if a student is applying for Symbiosis institute of Technology and Symbiosis Institute of Health Science, then it is necessary to appear for SET exam.  This is the gateway for students to pursue Bachelors degree in IT, Law, Science and Technology. Apart from appearing for SET exam, students are required to purchase prospectus from every institute for which they are applying for.  The reason is symbiosis institute look for weightage, academic background and even the work experience.

Eligibility:

The eligibility for SET differs according to the subject that is to be taken up:

• For BA LLB and BBA LLB:  Students must have passed with 10+2 exam or equivalent to it with minimum 50%. Students who are waiting for results or appearing for the exam can also apply for admission.

• For BCA/BBA (IT): Students who are passed out10+2 from science steam or from any diploma in engineering and technology with minimum 50 % can apply for the subject.

BBA (IT): Students who are passed out 10+2 from any stream or equivalent to diploma in Engineering with at least 50%

• For BBA (3 years): students passed out 10+2 from any stream with at least 50% are eligible for the admission.

• For BDes (4 years):  Students who are passed 10+2 from any stream with minimum 50% are eligible for admission.

Centers for the Test:

SET exam is conducted at 17 cities within India and students can choose the cities from wherever they want to give the exam.

Admission Procedure:

The student can go for online admission procedure by register self at www.set-test.org and pay the test fee of Rs 1400/- . Later after the closing date print the “admit card” and take to the test center along with photo ID.

Student can also apply directly to the institute through online by applying to the relevant SET paper.
