The Prospectus-cum-application forms can be had from 9th May, 2011 from University Campus, Gachibowli, Hyderabad-500032 or from regional/sub-regional centres and from Colleges of Teacher Education of the University on payment of Rs. 100/- through Demand Draft(by hand) or through D.D. of Rs. 150/-(by post). The D.D. should be drawn from any Nationalized Bank in favour of “Maulana Azad National Urdu University” payable at Hyderabad.

The University has recently been awarded "A" Grade by National Assessment & Accreditation Council(NAAC). The University has a Directorate of Distance Education where around 15,000 students are on roll in various courses (M.A, B.ed, B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com, different diplomas and certificate courses) all over India and abroad. The University has established an examination centre at Jeddah (K.S.A) & few more are in pipeline at Qatar, U.K. and U.S.A.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE UNIVERSITY

To promote and develop Urdu Language

To impart vocational and technical education in Urdu medium

To provide education through conventional teaching and the distance education system

To provide focus on Women Education

FUNCTIONS & FEATURES OF THE UNIVERSITY :

It will offer courses in Urdu medium at Certificate, Diploma, Graduate, Post-graduate and Research levels (M. Phil and Ph. D), through Campus and Distance mode. The University will design its courses in Science and Technology, Commerce, Management fields etc. with a strong emphasis on English.

At the Campus, apart from the regular courses of study, the University proposes to undertake technical and vocational courses of short duration aimed at skill-building for employment.
