Vellore Institute of Technology entrance exam is conducted for students who want to seek admission in MCA/M.Tech. This exam is conducted by Vellore Institute of Technology. It is finest institute which is known to offer high quality of education in technology field.
Eligibility criteria for Exam:
The candidate who wants to seek admission for this course must have completed graduation from any recognized university with atleast 50% marks and should be an Indian resident. Apart from this the student should have good result in the graduation level. Students who are currently appearing for the final year exam can also apply for the exam. But it is mandatory for the students must finish his/her final year exam before the interview.
The candidate must also submit the graduation certificate and provisional certificate to the authority before 15th August or else the admission will be cancelled.
Admission Procedure:
The admission for MCA/M.Tech course fully depends on the marks which the students get in VIT entrance exam. After the exam students who are shortlisted for the interview their names are posted in the institute website. Students who are being selected for the interview are required to pay Rs 10,000/- which is non refundable. This payment should be done in DD in the favor of VIT and students who failed to pay during the interview will not be able to sit give interview. Students who are GATE qualified are given special preference.
Examination Centre: The entrance exam is conducted in the following centers: Vellore, New Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Patna and Chennai.
