IIT JMET Notification Exam Pattern Application Form Date Eligibility Center

Joint Management Entrance Test (Conducted by IITs)
Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) is an entrance test that is conducted all over India by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). It is conducted for students who want to pursue two year full time PG degree program in Management field.  There are also some institutes and colleges that accepts JMET exam score for the management course.

Eligibility: 
The eligibility criteria for different IITs institute are different. However, most of the criteria are same.  Candidate who wants to take admission in this management course should rank first class in bachelor degree in engineering or in technology.

Candidate should get at least 60% in bachelors degree from any stream.  Candidates who are appearing for the final year exam can also apply for the exam. There are some IIT institutes like IIT Delhi and IIT Kanpur which allows degree certificate from Architecture or Pharmacy.

Courses: 
Many IITs institute offers course for those who are passed out successfully from IIT exam.  Some of the programs offered by IIT are being mentioned below as per the state:
Master of Management at IIT Mumbai
MBA as per Management Systems, IIT Delhi
MBA in Telecommunication Systems Management, IIT Delhi
MBA in IIT Kharakpur, Roorkee and Madras. 

Examination Pattern:
The JMET entrance exam is conducted for 3hrs with multiple objective questions. Students will get negative marks for any wrong answers. Apart from overall cut off list, there is sectional cut off list for each four section.  Once the students appears for JMET exam, the students also has to apply to the institute separately.

There are four sections that are being asked:
Verbal communication, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation. All this are objective type questions.

Application Procedure:
The application form for JMET exam is to be submitted through online and the form can be downloaded from the website of IIT. The duly filled form should be then submitted along with the DD of Rs 750/- and for SC/ST students Rs 350/-.
