Puducherry Joint Entrance Test (Puducherry JET)
Puducherry Joint Entrance Test is conducted by Centralized Admission Committee, under Government of Puducherry. This exam is conducted for students who want seek admission for first year Engineering and Medical courses. Students who want seek admission for the courses should undergo this test and submit the application form to CENTAC.
Courses that are offered:
• M.B.B.S
• B.Tech
• B.D.S
• B.V.Sc &Ah
• B.Pharm
• B.Sc (Nursing)
• B.P.T
• B.S.C (MLT)
Eligibility:
Students who want to pursue B.Tech degree course should be pass HSC exam held by Board of Higher Secondary Examination of TN with at least 45% in aggregate with subject like Maths and Chemistry.
Students who want to B.D.S degree course should pass with HSC exam or equivalent to it from TN board with at least 50% and 40% for SC candidate with subjects like English, Zoology and Chemistry.
Students who want to pursue other degree course should pass with the HSC exam or equivalent to it with same subject related to the course.
Nationality:
Students pursuing above courses should be an Indian citizen.
Application Procedure:
The application form can be obtained from the convener by paying DD in the favor of CENTAC. This form can also be obtained from any post office. After filling the application form send it to the convener along with Acknowledgment card of Rs 6/-. Make sure that you don’t send application form along with JET-2007 application.
The application form should be handled tactfully and if any damaged to the form will be avoided as it is scanned directly for further process.
Paper Pattern:
The entrance paper consist total marks of 240 with maths 60 marks, Physical Science 80 marks (Physics 40 marks and Chemistry 40) and Biology 100 marks.
The selection of students will be done on the basis of the merit list that is prepared by CENTAC.
