Duration : 4yrs.+6 months

Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher/Senior Secondary Examination) SC or equivalent-recognized examination with subjects-Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

B.P.O.

Duration : 4yrs.+6 months

Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher/Senior Secondary Examination) SC or equivalent-recognized examination with subjects-Physics(P), Chemistry©, Biology(B) or Mathematics and English.

Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher/Senior Secondary Examination) Sc or equivalent-recognized examination with subjects-Physics(P), Chemistry© ,Biology(B) and English with minimum aggregate of 50% in PCB when taken together for General/OBC and 40% for SC/ST & PH candidates.

B.O.T.

Duration : 4yrs.+6 months

Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher/Senior Secondary Examination) Sc or equivalent-recognized examination with subjects-Physics(P), Chemistry© ,Biology(B) and English with minimum aggregate of 50% in PCB when taken together for General/OBC and 40% for SC/ST & PH candidates.

B.P.O.

Duration : 4yrs.+6 months

M.P.T.

Duration : 2 years

Eligibility: Pass in a full time regular BPT/BSc. (PT) course from any recognized University with completion of all requirements of the degree course including completion of Internship by 31.09.2011.

M.O.T.

Duration : 2 years

Eligibility: Pass in a full time regular BOT/BSc. (OT) course from any recognized University with completion of all requirements of the degree course including completion of Internship by 31.09.2011.

AGE : SVNIRTAR : Minimum age of the candidate- 17 years at the time of admission or will complete this age on 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the course. Maximum age of the candidate-21 years of age on 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the course.

NIOH : Upper Age limit is 28 years age as on 31st March 2011. 

RESERVATION : As per Government of India guidelines.

The Prospectus-cum-Application form for Degree courses will be available at SVNIRTAR- CUTTACK, NIOH- KOLKATA, CRC- GUWAHATI, IPH-NEWDELHI, CRC-SRINAGAR, CRC-LUCNOW, REGIONAL CENTRE- AIZAWL, CRC-PATNA, NIHH- CHENNAI against Bank Draft Rs.500/- for General category candidates and Rs.400/- for SC/ST/PH candidates in favour of The Director, SVNIRTAR, payable at Cuttack. Candidates desiring to obtain Prospectus-cum-Application form by Regd. Post may obtain the same by sending the Bank Draft of Rs.550/- for General candidates and Rs.450/- for SC/ST/PH candidates.

Application form can also be downloaded from the SVNIRTAR website http://www.nirtar.nic.in However, the candidates are required to enclose the required Demand Draft of the prescribed fees in favour of Director, SV NIRTAR, payable at Cuttack along with filled application form.

The Prospectus-cum-Application form for Post Graduate courses will be downloaded from the SVNIRTAR website: http://www.nirtar.nic.in. The candidates are required to enclose to Demand Draft for Rs.600/- for General candidates and Rs.500/- for SC/ST/PH candidates in favour of the Director, SVNIRTAR, payable at Cuttack as prescribed fees.

Duly filled and completed application form should reach the Chairman (CET-2011 & PGET-2011) Cum-Director, Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training & Research, Olatpur, PO: Bairoi, Dist: Cuttack, Orissa-754010 on or before 16.06.2011 by submitting in person at SVNIRTAR, Cuttack or by Regd. Post only.

The National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (NIRTAR) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India. It is located in a beautiful rural area at Olatpur at a distance of 30 Kms. from Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.

It conducts three  Bachelor Degree courses in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Prosthetics and Orthotics, two Postgraduate courses in Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy affiliated to Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. It also has an accreditation for DNB in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of National Board of Examination (NBE), New Delhi. It also conducts short orientation courses, Continuing Medical Education courses for rehabilitation professionals, awareness programmes for the functionaries of Govt. and Non-Govt., Persons with disabilities and their relatives etc.

It has a hospital, wards with 100 beds, operation theatres, x-ray and pathological investigations, physio-occupational therapy services, clinical psychology and vocational counselling, speech and audiology, fabrication of rehabilitation of aids and appliances. It provides total medical rehabilitation for the persons with locomotor disabilities.
